On Wednesday, April 13th, 2011 at 8:10 am by Rob Griffiths, If none are reported, then we can enable it by default in a future bug fix update. Some additions, such as the Cut hotkey, address older issues that have already been fixed in the new versions. Now that Witch 3.6.3 is out, we can ask all TotalFinder users to try this fix, and let us know if they experience any other issues with it. This plugin for Finder provides some clear advantages, such as tabs, colorful labels, dual-panel mode, and the ability to display hidden files with a hotkey. We tested as best we could, but we still weren’t confident that we’d tested everything possible, so we decided to ship with the setting disabled. So why did we make a bug fix a hidden preference, and disabled by default? Because of the way we had to code this particular workaround, we were concerned about possible other issues with TotalFinder windows. (That’s one long line just select it and copy, and it should paste fine.) You won’t see any response from Terminal (other than a new command prompt), but Witch is now set up to work properly with TotalFinder.

TOTALFINDER HOW TO
I’ll explain why in a bit, but for now, here’s how to get Witch 3.6.3 working with TotalFinder:
TOTALFINDER UPDATE
Unfortunately, due to the length of time between when we submitted the 3.6.3 update to the App Store and its approval, both Peter and I forgot that this fix is disabled by default, and that it must be enabled via a hidden preference. + T TotalFinder 1.9. TotalFinder para Mac funciona como el Finder original, pero añade pestañas, modo de panel doble, carpetas en la parte superior y otras características útiles. > macOS 13.With the release of Witch 3.6.3, one of the described fixes was:Ī problem causing TotalFinder’s windows to appear twice in Witch has been fixed. TotalFinder admits that it doesn't yet work on Ventura. UPDATE 2: TotalFinder has launched a new version which works with Ventura, on Intel (tested and verified). There are no updates on the site, but since it's Intel, it still works. Obviously I'm not the first one to comment on Ventura's looks (the Dock, the rounded corners), but the Finder is just as terrible as it ever was. Has anyone found a way to get TotalFinder, or an equivalent, to work with Ventura?! I'm dying over here without my coloured sidebar, cut+paste, and reasonable tabs.

Alas, TotalFinder was the replacement for XtraFinder that I'm using on my M1 Studio with Monterrey. It basically broke my system and I had to uninstall it and re-enable csrutil just to get through the day. Installed all my apps just to get back up and running, but had real problems with TotalFinder.

TOTALFINDER UPGRADE
Just updated my MacBook Air (Intel, mid-2018) to Ventura as a test-run before I upgrade my main system.
